Hot Summer

It's been a while, and it's been pretty busy. Who's idea was it to have a blog anyway. It's so hard to get anyone to write stuff up in here. I thought I'd do a drive-by news blurb since I'm here to update the calendar (Thanks Christian for reminding me).

The camp was great. It's good to have Micah help out when he's available. We had an encounter on the first night with a guy that was probably high on Ice/Meth. He wanted to beef but I took it as an opportunity to show 'im God's love. We actually had a connection even though his mind was so far gone. God is awesome.

We've been so sad since Naoko's been gone. Say a little prayer so that she can get a VISA. She's been with us for years and she is incredibly hard working.

Makiki Christian Church has been hanging out with us on Fridays since most of their leaders are away on vacation. Max from MCC has also led worship for us a couple of times. He has great energy.

We celebrated Alison's birthday in the Parsonage on Sunday. Happy 17th girl. The meat on the shoyu chicken was falling off the bone!

Let's see…we had a guys overnighter, Adam's cousin Matt makes a mean breakfast and he's a cool guy all around. Go Trojans. They want to have one every month now. Quinten said something about driving around the island looking for nightmarchers, pork shoulder Pali nonsense, la la la, Jesus rebuke you [run away like crazy].
