Mens Group Begins

We met for the first time at Manoa McDonald's from 9:30AM until 11AM. We plan to meet on the first and third Saturdays of the month. It's been in the works since October but we haven't been able to get it going until now.

The girls at our church have many meetings, activities, and caregroups. Watson–the guy in charge–wanted to make a time where the guys could sit together and enjoy studying God's word. A time when we could share about what's helping or hindering us; where we could realize that we're not alone in our walk with God.

Watson realized some time ago that God isn't interested in just saving us, he's interested in helping us grow. Hanging out with other guys that are reading will motivate us to read more. All the adult leaders confirm that God slowly changed their attitudes and the way they thought as they read [the bible].

It's well known that you become like the people you hang out with. Meeting with others that are growing will help you to grow as well. I hope to see the same faces show up at every Mens Group. I'm really impressed with the youth this year. Even though the Punahou Carnival is open, they still put God first and showed up to Youth Group and the Mens Group. God is making a change in our lives, don't miss out.
